Health and Safety when connecting the Peripherals

Health and Safety when connecting a Digital Camera to a Computer

When connecting a Digital Camera to a computer make sure that there is not a fault with the computer, e.g. USB port is safe to plug into and not broke etc.
Make sure you check that there are no hazards such as:
Wires tangled.
Wires loose (so you do not fall over.)
Make sure the pop up to let you know that the camera is connected shows before using the camera or camera files on the computer.
When disconnecting click the remove device button before removing the digital camera.
Make sure that there is no food or drink near the computer so you can prevent damage or risk of electrocution etc.

Also when you are connecting your camera to the computer and when you are transferring images onto your computer it is best not to have too many programmes running in the background as this may cause the computer to freeze or even crash.

When disconnecting the speakers click the remove device button before removing the speakers.
Make sure that there is no food or drink near the computer when connecting the speakers so that you can prevent damage to the computer and prevent the risk of electrocution etc.

Also when you are connecting your speakers to the computer make sure you do not have too many programmes running in the background as again this can make the computer freeze or even crash.
